Long long ago in Paradise...

(Just a random post on one of those moments when you are so tired of everything that you want to write)

Certain members of the paradise above had erred and earned the wrath of Heaven’s ruler. “You all got to suffer”, he pronounced. I am going to create a place called Earth and you shall all undo your heinous acts there, he declared. “You shall get consumed and dance to the tunes of lust, greed, desire, rage, guilt and fear. Oh! but don’t worry, there is some joy too.”

“Oh dear, but where do we find joy in such a vast system? Dear lord, please do guide us on this one. We already have enough torment waiting.” cried the guilty in woe.

“Well, well…now, there are two ways. One is easy. The other is hard.”

The restless spirits asked for the easy route.

“This one is where you soil hard, sweat and earn your way to certain things that have the ability to excite your senses. It would suffice to provide joy enough to act as an incentive to further work hard, sweat and earn. Simple.”

“This still is too much work, lord. Isn’t there an easier path to joy?”, came the voice of one lazy soul.

Now, these few words were enough to enrage an already fired up god. "You wretched, indolent being! I doom you to the tough road of finding joy. You will question faiths, rebel against norms, and fight beliefs systems that others take refuge in to find joy and comfort. You will analyze, over-analyze and philosophize to the point of transcending what brings others joy in a simple and easy manner. What brings others cheer and smiles shall bring in you nothing but boredom and revolt. Go on.. search everywhere, cross mountains, valleys, rivers and oceans, uncode the meanings of love, beauty and hope….prepare for THE journey… a journey that you cannot afford to rest without and one that you cannot afford to rest in. "

And off went the cursed for their tenure on earth.

Maybe dat is all there is to it, maybe there isn't.....

And y not add " You will question as to who i am? Why i am god? Why not you? What's beyond me? and What is all this? You shall ask and be the wiser for it? Wiser and happier"

When i come to think of it, isn't Satan great? He drives God. Its more like Joker and The Batman....:):):) They complete each other.

And i agree with everything until the last para that i shall deftly defend..
All said i understood what you wanted to convey in this neatly crafted post anyway..:)

And so this lazy soul sings off with the request -'Keep them coming'!

Why does this God sound like a new age boss??!! The God here has little patience and certainly doesn't think before giving weird deadline.
However I would love to have someone who would deliberately ask me to do the things I already love like continuous questioning, over-analyzing and travelling.
But, Alas! All I get to hear is "what happened to the report I asked about??"
Lovely piece by the way...
